The process of getting to Korea has been an adventure all of it's own.  After the initial interview with the recruiting agency, Footprints, I had to collect a mound of paperwork including: reference letters, FBI criminal background checks, evidence of teaching experience, copies of my degrees with apostilles attached (that was a chore), transcripts, etc.  I also had to set up a skype account so that I could interview via webcam with a person in Korea.  (Must say...it's a bit weird to interview from your living room.)  Anyways, now I'm playing the waiting game...waiting to get the official contract from Korea.  Once I have that in hand, it's off to the Korean Consulate in LA for another interview.  At this point, I should be able to finally get my visa and head out for the real adventure.
