Today we went to the Garden Buffet BBQ & Seafood in Artesia.  This was an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ with lots of different meats and side dishes.  My favorite meat was the bulgogi ("fire meat")...marinated barbecue beef.  YUMMY!  I also tried the teriyaki chicken, beef ribs, and a couple types of kimchi.  No seafood for me, but they did have several options to choose from.

In an effort to help me prepare for Korea, my friends and family are going on a local Korean Food Tour.  I haven't had too much Korean food in the past, so the tour is much needed.

Stop #1:  KoKo Chicken BBQ in Buena Park.  Here we had fried chicken with hot sauce on the side, soy sauce wings and a plate of the ramen noodles with rice cake in hot sauce dish.  These were all casual, pub-type of foods.  On the side, we had diced, pickled white radish and steamed egg souffle (yum!!).  For dessert, we headed over to the
Paris Baguette (A Korean Bakery/Cafe fusing elements of Asian and French baking) where we shared some shaved ice with sweet red beans and a variety of fruit.
Stop #2: Garden Buffet BBQ and Seafood in Artesia on June 27...to be continued.
